Muskegon County Commissioner Candidate Forum

The MCC Center for Experiential Learning will host a series of candidate forums in July at the College’s Sturrus Technology Center, 388 W. Clay, in downtown Muskegon.

The format consists of candidates’ opening statements followed by selected questions pertaining to three general topics that will be identified in advance. The candidate forum for Wednesday, July 11, 6:30-8:30 p.m. is:

• County Commission District 1 Democratic Primary Candidates: Pat Jones and Rillastine R. Wilkins
• County Commission District 2 Democratic Primary Candidates: Benjamin Cross and Marcia Hovey-Wright
• County Commission District 9 Democratic Primary Candidates: Andrew Heykoop and Kenneth Mahoney
• County Commission District 5 Republican Primary Candidates: Zach Lahring and David Farhat
• County Commission District 9 Republican Primary Candidates: Eric Rothoff and Richard A. Holman

Italicized candidates are anticipated but have not confirmed their participation

The open primary election for the Muskegon County Board of Commissioners will be held on August 7, 2018. The general election will be held on November 6, 2018. Commissioners serve two-year terms
