Muskegon Community College along with Michigan Works and some local business partners are holding an informational fair to bring awareness to the community about the “hot” jobs that are in demand.

“Hot Job Connect” takes place on Wednesday, Nov. 11, from 6-8 p.m. in Collegiate Hall. The event is free, but participants must pre-register by completing the online form at https://www.muskegoncc.edu/enrollment-services/admissions-events/

Businesses will discuss job opportunities and training requirements, while Michigan Works will address possible funding for training. MCC representatives will talk about available training. Afterward, participants will have an opportunity to visit with the businesses to ask more in-depth questions.

“Today many of the hot jobs in Muskegon and Oceana Counties are related to the health care and advanced manufacturing areas,” said MCC Dean of Enrollment Services Cindy Reuss. “Many of our local businesses are looking for skilled and trained workers in these particular fields.”

“Hot Jobs Connect will give you an opportunity to hear from our business partners about the types of jobs that are either currently available or frequently become available.  Learn how you can train for these careers and even get possible funding for the training.  In some cases all you need is the time and effort to commit to the training.”
