MCC Holiday Concert at Orchard View Dec. 6

MCC Holiday Concert 2014

Muskegon Community College will hold its annual Holiday Concert on Sunday, Dec. 6, at 3 p.m. at Orchard View High School.

The free concert, a holiday tradition, features performances by MCC’s Wind Ensemble, Singers, Collegiates Choir and Flute Quartet, and also 2015 Muskegon’s Got Talent winner D’marco Hughes, an MCC student.

The Wind Ensemble, directed by Daniel M. Meyers, will perform “Russian Christmas Music,” “Festival Fanfare for Christmas” and “Dreidl Adventure.”

The Collegiates Choir, directed by Thomas Clark and accompanied by Cheryl Lohman, will present “Sing We Now of Christmas” and “Lux Aurumque,” the latter with soloist Jade Holman. The College Singers, also directed by Thomas Clark and accompanied by Dr. Solee Lee-Clark, will perform “Festival Gloria,” “Coventry Carol” with soloist Meghan Cook, and “It takes a Village” with soloist Clayton Zimmerman.

The Wind Ensemble, Singers and the Collegiates Choir will join for “Christmas Finale” and “Hallelujah Chorus.”

The Flute Quartet of Emily Cramer, Shelbie Petrongelli, Kaylie Spira and Victoria Mueller, will perform “O Holy Night.” D’marco Hughes will sing “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”  The concert attendees can join in during the traditional Sing-A-Long.
