MCC TV Survey Provides Valuable Input

The results of a recently completed viewer satisfaction survey are helping MCC TV with its programming decisions as it continues to offer educational, cultural and informative content that advance the mission of the College.

“MCC TV’s first-ever viewer survey was a huge success,” said Rod VanNortwick, who manages the television operations on campus. “We had over 170 participants. An overwhelming 86.9 percent of them rated MCC TV as ‘excellent’ or ‘good’ overall.”

“The purpose of the survey is to find out what we are doing right and identifying areas of improvement,” added VanNortwick, noting that viewers rated MCC TV in several categories, including what shows they watch, what they like and don’t like.

MCC TV is looking at adding an online guide listing weekly programming on MCC TV’s website and a daily view of upcoming shows on Charter and Comcast’s TV guide channel.

“We also have several new shows in the works that will start airing in the next few months,” he said.

Meanwhile, MCC student Adrienne Rummler won a flat screen when her name was randomly chosen from among all those who completed the annual MCC TV viewer survey in February. The Muskegon, Mich., resident is studying business management at the College.

MCC TV can be viewed in Muskegon County and Newaygo County on Comcast Channels 98, 44-5, and 902, and in Ottawa County, Oceana County, northern Muskegon County and northern Allegan County on Charter Channel 994. The programs are also streamed online.
