International Education Week Events on Campus Nov. 12-16

Muskegon Community College will join universities and colleges across the country in celebrating International Education Week on Nov. 12-16 will talks, films, discussions and more. A joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the Department of Education, International education Week gives MCC an ideal venue to promote its programs that prepare students to live and succeed in today’s global environment.

MCC Considers Science Expansion After Close Millage Defeat

While Muskegon Community College officials are disappointed over the narrow defeat of the proposed $31.1 million millage in Tuesday’s election, they are thankful for voters’ support and will continue to work on addressing strategic facility needs that will ultimately strengthen the local economy. With 71,006 Muskegon County voters going to the polls, the MCC bonding proposal was defeated by just 686 votes – 35,846 (50.5%) to 35,160 (49.5%).

Final Week for New Christmas Planetarium Show

The newly renovated Carr-Fles Planetarium is presenting “Mystery of the Christmas Star,” through Dec. 13. Show times are 7 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday. Prospective Students Discover MCC Every Monday Afternoon

Every Monday afternoon, Muskegon Community College offers an hour-long, free mini-open house for individuals interested in learning more about the college and its programs.Called Discover MCC, the program takes place from 1-2 p.m. in Room 116A near the main entrance into the building. No reservations are required. Attendees will learn about how to apply to MCC, register for classes, seek financial aid and more.
