Public Invited to Share Ideas for MCC’s Next Steps at Sept. 13 Online Town Hall

While Muskegon Community College uses a five-year strategic plan to establish priorities to guide its growth, the current plan expires in December. So, MCC is actively seeking community input into its new 2022-2026 blueprint entitled “Aspiring to be the best.”

The public is strongly encouraged to share their suggestions on what’s needed to make MCC the best during an online Community Town Hall, hosted by MCC President Dale K. Nesbary, on Monday, Sept. 13, from 2-3 p.m. To join the Zoom meeting, visit https://muskegoncc-edu.zoom.us/j/96751181342?pwd=YzFuQnpsK1FEc0x6ZTRERVBCTmNxQT09 and use the Passcode: 528070. To access the meeting by phone, call (312) 626-6799 or (646) 558-8656.

Since July 2021, a 142-member Strategic Planning Committee, comprised of community stakeholders along with MCC Board of Trustee members, students, and employees volunteered to serve on one of five committees and are working on identifying proposed goals for the new 54-month plan. The document will build upon MCC’s student success accomplishments and will aim to position the institution as one of the best community colleges in the nation.
