Sexual Assault Training Session Event for MCC Students April 8

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month

All MCC students are invited to attend a registration event for a one-hour online Sexual Assault Awareness Training Session on Monday, April 8, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Gerber Lounge. Students who register will be treated to free pop and pizza.

Those who successfully complete the session on their own by April 22 will be entered in a raffle for a gift cards ranging from $25 to $200, with at least a dozen winners being chosen.

Sponsored by EVERFI, the training session combines cutting-edge instructional design and rich media to educate students about healthy relationships, the importance of consent, and the role of bystander intervention. The session takes students through real-world scenarios and encourages them to challenge sexist language and attitudes. The program also provides guidance for supporting someone who has experienced harm.
