TEDGlobal 2012 Shown Locally at MCC June 27

Muskegon Community College will host a webstream of the TEDGlobal 2012: Radical Openness sessions from Edinburgh, Scotland on Wednesday, June 27, at from 8:45 a.m. – 5 p.m. in Stevenson Center Room 1118. The event is free and open to the public.

“In conjunction with our partner, Muskegon Community College, we are presenting a time-delayed version of sessions 4 through 7,” said TEDxMuskegon coordinator Maria Andersen, a math instructor at MCC.

Started in 1984, TED (Technology, Entertainment and Design) is a global set of independently owned conferences formed to disseminate “ideas worth spreading.” TEDxMuskegon, the local version of that international concept, will be held on October 11, 2012 in downtown Muskegon.  Those wishing to present are encouraged to apply at http://tedxmuskegon.org/presenters.

In the meantime, TEDxMuskegon is providing an opportunity for area residents to experience the innovative thinkers gathered at TEDGlobal. Tentatively scheduled to speak during the TEDGlocal sessions being shown at MCC are:
