The Student Veteran Organization started in 2009 with a mission to:
- Help facilitate the transfer of military and veteran students and their families into the Muskegon Community College campus
- Connect veterans connect with the resources available in the community at large
- Promote student awareness of veteran issues
- Support the interests and goals among current students who are members of the National Guard, Reserve Units, or veterans and dependents from all branches of the military.
