Public invited to join college mascot on “Santa Train”

All Aboard! Muskegon Community College is inviting the community to hop on the “Santa Train” with mascot Jay the Jayhawk on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Organizers are inviting children and adults of all ages to kick off the holiday season with a magical journey on The Coopersville and Marne Railway Santa Train complete with holiday cheer and surprises.

In addition to decorations, music, and Jolly Old St. Nicholas himself, kids will also meet Jay the Jayhawk aboard the train, while Elves will escort each child to see Santa individually so parents can take pictures.

“The Coopersville and Marne Railway Santa Train is a fantastic way for families and friends from throughout West Michigan to come together, celebrate the season, and create lasting memories,” said Muskegon Community College Center for Theater Director, Les Rorick.

Space is limited. Tickets are available for purchase at $30 for adults and $25 for children or take advantage of the special group rate– any four riders can join the fun for just $100. Guests must arrive by 10:00 AM to board the train at The Coopersville and Marne Railway located at 306 Main Street in Coopersville, Michigan.
