Learn More about Completing a College Degree in Newaygo County

Muskegon Community College has scheduled Degreed to Succeed informational sessions between March 24 and May 6. These open houses are for both Newaygo County residents who are just starting their college education and also for residents who already have earned some college credits.

The Degreed to Succeed sessions will take place on the following dates at these Newaygo County sites:

  • Tuesday, April 14, 6-7:30 p.m. – MCC Newaygo County East, 941 E. 76th St., Newaygo
  • Wednesday, April 22, 6-7:30 p.m. – Newaygo County Offices, 1087 Newell St., White Cloud
  • Wednesday, May 6, 10:30 a.m.-Noon – Hesperia Community Library, 80 S. Division, Hesperia

Attendees will learn about earning college credit for life experience, opportunities for scholarships, financial aid, MI Works! Sponsorships, current Hot Jobs, degree programs, transfer credits, and much more! As an added bonus, participants can enter a drawing for free tuition at MCC.

In addition to MCC enrollment, financial aid, and business training staff members, there will be representatives from several organizations on hand to answer questions and provide helpful advice. These include: Michigan Works; Fremont Area Community Foundation; Newaygo County Economic Development Organization; Newaygo County Career and Technical Center; and Newaygo WE CAN!
