It is my pleasure to welcome you to Muskegon Community College, an outstanding institution of higher education located in the heart of the lakeshore region of West Michigan. We serve Muskegon, Newaygo, Oceana, and Ottawa counties, as well as students online around the world. We are committed to providing the highest quality education, particularly in these challenging economic times.
MCC is among the best educational values available today. Among our many offerings, you may learn to become a nurse, drive a big rig, research wind and solar power, or design computer games. You will learn in the classroom, online, at internships around the world, on the athletic field, and even on the beach! Our outstanding faculty are primarily full-time instructors who hold masters level or doctoral degrees in the discipline in which they teach.
You will learn from your classmates in a rich and rewarding environment. You will find that our costs are among the most affordable in Michigan. Our classes are small, our faculty are excellent and our coursework is interesting and challenging. You will be able to immediately pursue your chosen career path, or transfer your credits to the many excellent four-year institutions in the region or the world.
Most of all, you will enjoy getting to know the students, faculty, staff, and campus of MCC. We strive to be the most welcoming, friendly, and helpful community possible. We strive to ensure that our facilities are equal to the best in the state. Most recently we added the state-of-the-art Meijer Library/Technology Center, the Student Services Center (One-Stop Shop), and the College Success Center. As for our location, it is difficult to describe in words a campus where the buildings are constructed spanning a stream in the middle of a forested area. Our nature trails, golf course, and year-round beauty must be seen to truly be appreciated.
Finally, as a Muskegon County native, I am honored to have been given the opportunity to serve the College community. Thank you for placing your confidence in Muskegon Community College, and we look forward to serving you.
