Muskegon Community College (MCC) is thrilled to announce that Fruitport High School Senior, Brielle Semelbauer, is the lucky winner of a two year scholarship to MCC, providing her with the opportunity to pursue her studies in Applied Technology without the burden of tuition fees after her graduation in May.

The scholarship was presented to Ms. Semelbauer during the MCC Expo held on Saturday, October 28, 2023. She shared her reaction after hearing her name called from a random drawing of hopeful students.

“At first I could not believe it, I was so excited and overjoyed, it just felt like big sign that I was destined to go to MCC,” Semelbauer said. “My parents were so excited; it is just a huge deal for me and my family. I am going to college for free!”

The event brought together over a hundred prospective students eager to explore MCC’s diverse array of over 80 areas of study, student resources, and financial aid options.

Muskegon Community College, established in 1926, has a rich history of providing educational opportunities to the community. In addition to its academic programs, MCC offers a range of resources, including a planetarium, natural area, science museum, health and wellness center, art gallery, and a golf course.
