The Stage is Set For 2nd Annual ‘An Evening With MCC’

Friday, June 6, 2025
Muskegon Community College (MCC) will host its 2nd annual “An Evening With MCC” Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 6:00 PM. The event will take place at MCC’s Health & Wellness Center, located on the main campus at 221 S. Quarterline Rd., Muskegon, MI.
This signature celebration of alumni success and community impact promises another unforgettable evening of connection, inspiration, and support for Muskegon Community College students.
With live music, a buffet dinner, signature cocktails, an open bar, and alumni and employer testimonials, guests will have the opportunity to continue to support MCC’s mission by bidding on a wide variety of auction items.
“Last summer, we had an incredible turnout for our inaugural event, and the community came out in force to help MCC raise critical funding to complete our new multi-purpose room in the Arts and Music building,” said Muskegon Community College Director of Development, Richard Vanderputte-McPherson. “We encourage everyone to help us once again celebrate the undeniable impact MCC has had on the Lakeshore over the past century.”
This year’s event lays the groundwork for a yearlong celebration of Muskegon Community College’s 100th anniversary.
“As we approach our centennial, this event is more than just a celebration, it’s a call to action,” said Dr. John Selmon, President of Muskegon Community College. “We invite you to stand with us and invest in the future of our students. Together, we not only celebrate our past, but also help equip the next century of Muskegon County leaders to continue shaping our community for the better.”
Tickets are still available but are going fast.
“The Lakeshore would not be the same place we call home today without the generations of students whose lives have been transformed by MCC,” said Sue Samaniego, Chief Advancement Officer and Executive Director of the Muskegon Community College Foundation. “If you want to make a real impact in our community, this is your chance to do so.”
