Tuesday, October 7, 2025

Muskegon Community College (MCC) is proud to announce that it has been named one of the winners of the prestigious Michigan Best and Brightest in Wellness awards, presented by the National Association for Business Resources (NABR). This award honors organizations that demonstrate an exceptional commitment to promoting wellness and creating a supportive, healthy work environment for their staff.

“We are thrilled to recognize organizations (like MCC) that prioritize health and well-being,” said Jennifer Kluge, President and CEO of NABR. “Winning the Best and Brightest in Wellness award is a testament to their commitment of creating a supportive and healthy workplace culture. These companies are setting a high standard for wellness initiatives and truly making a positive impact on their employees’ lives.”

The Best and Brightest in Wellness award evaluates organizations based on their culture, environment, employee input, financial wellbeing, leadership commitment, and physical and mental health initiatives.

“We are incredibly proud to receive this recognition,” said MCC President John Selmon. “This award reflects the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff, and leadership in creating a nurturing environment where everyone feels supported not only in their professional and academic pursuits but also in their mental and physical well-being.”

MCC’s award-winning wellness culture offers employees a range of benefits, including an onsite fitness center, indoor track, group exercise spaces, and outdoor hiking areas for both activity and reflection. Beyond physical health, MCC supports mental well-being and personal growth through free weekly yoga, wellness courses—from pottery to accounting—and preventative health programs.

MCC will be honored at Michigan’s Best and Brightest in Wellness Conference and Awards on October 30, 2025, at The Henry Autograph Collection in Dearborn, MI. Additionally, MCC will be featured in the All-Winners Edition of Corp! Magazine.
