MCC Offering Community Day Trip To Chicago Art Museum

Muskegon Community College’s Center for Experiential Learning invites students, faculty, staff, and community members to join an exciting educational excursion to the Chicago Art Institute on Friday, October 24, 2025.

This one-day trip offers participants the opportunity to explore one of the world’s premier art museums while engaging in hands-on learning outside the classroom. The trip departs at 6:15 AM from Muskegon Community College, located at 221 S. Quarterline Rd., Muskegon, MI 49442.

The cost is $100 per person, which includes round-trip transportation and museum admission. Spots are limited, and early registration is highly encouraged.

“Trips like these help build community and offer education through up-close and personal experiences,” said George Maniates, Chair of Social Sciences at MCC. “Why read about the museum when you can see it in person?”

The excursion, hosted by the Center for Experiential Learning, underscores MCC’s commitment to providing immersive educational opportunities that connect academic learning to real-world experiences.
