8th Annual Anthropology Day Event at MCC

Join full-time Anthropology Instructor Evin Rodkey, Ph.D., as he presents, “Language and Culture: Wait, What Do You Mean By That?”

A picture with the word Anthroday in it. The O in Anthroday has a human figure in it with arms stretched.

Brought to you by the American Anthropological Association (AAA), Anthropology Day brings awareness to the broad study of culture and human history.

This year we will focus on the topic of language and culture, exploring how social and cultural factors affect the way we communicate. This is an interactive presentation in which audience members get to share examples form their own experiences!

To promote anthropology more broadly, we will also have a sample of our skull cast collection from extinct human ancestors, which audience members get to see up close – and touch!
