Herbs 101: Learn about MCC’s new sensory garden
Herbs 101: Meet the Gardener at MCC’s Sensory Herbal Garden
Have you noticed the newly renovated Sensory Herbal Garden near the Stevenson Center? Join Lynn from Lovage Garden Company for Herbs 101, a series of informal one-hour tours designed to introduce the campus community and public to the garden and its many uses.
The Sensory Herbal Garden was created for students, faculty, staff, and the community to enjoy in more ways than just visually. Guests are encouraged to touch the flowers and leaves, experience their scents, and learn which plants are edible and how they can be properly harvested and used to enhance meals.
Lynn will be available in the garden on the following dates and times:
-
Monday, September 14, at 3 p.m.
-
Thursday, September 16, at 2 p.m.
-
Wednesday, September 23, at 9 a.m.
-
Monday, September 28, at 9 a.m.
Each session will last approximately one hour.
The rededication of the Sensory Herbal Garden will take place at 3 p.m. Wednesday, September 16.
The events are open to the campus community and the public.
