Compressed Classes

Compressed Classes

Compressed Classes are seven-week classes that cover the same amount of content and material in about half the time. They may meet for longer periods of time, or more often.

Compressed Classes are accelerated. This means they offer the same quality of content, support, and teaching, but in half the time of 15-week classes. Students can take both compressed and 15-week classes at the same time. Attendance at both types of classes is important to success.

Studies show students in compressed classes have higher class success rates and completion rates, and progress more quickly to a degree.

Late start classes, however are compressed classes that begin after the start of the semester. Both compressed and late start classes typically meet for 7-8 weeks.
