Showtimes: 11/05/2026 – 11/07/2026 @ 7:30pm.

Experience Silent Sky, an inspiring and thought-provoking drama by acclaimed playwright Lauren Gunderson that brings to life the true story of pioneering astronomer Henrietta Leavitt. Set in the early 1900s, the play follows Leavitt as she leaves her family behind to work at the Harvard Observatory, where women were tasked with cataloging stars but denied opportunities to make discoveries of their own.

Determined to pursue her passion for science, Henrietta works alongside a group of intelligent and trailblazing women while quietly conducting her own research. Her dedication ultimately leads to a breakthrough that transformed astronomy by providing a way to measure the vast distances between stars and galaxies, forever changing humanity’s understanding of the universe.

Blending scientific discovery with humor, heart, and humanity, Silent Sky explores themes of perseverance, curiosity, family, and the often-overlooked contributions of women in STEM. The play is both a celebration of scientific achievement and a moving reminder that some of the most important discoveries begin with the courage to challenge expectations.
