Gettysburg Trip

Join Muskegon Community College for an immersive educational journey to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, one of the most significant sites in American history. This multi-day trip will provide participants with the opportunity to explore the battlefield, monuments, museums, and historic landmarks associated with the Battle of Gettysburg and the American Civil War.

Through guided tours and historical interpretation, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the events that shaped the nation during one of its most pivotal periods. Participants will learn about the military strategies, key figures, and lasting impact of the Battle of Gettysburg, as well as the broader social and political issues that defined the Civil War era.

Whether you are a history enthusiast, student, educator, or lifelong learner, this experience offers a unique opportunity to connect with the people, places, and stories that helped shape the United States.

The trip will be $900 a person.
Included for this amount are the following items:
– Round-trip motorcoach transportation using Compass Coach to Gettysburg
– Four days/three nights, double-occupancy- Gettysburg Quality Inn
– Three breakfasts and a dinner included
– Admissions to the Gettysburg Military Park, Cyclorama, and Museum
– Guided tour of the battlefield by renowned guide, Christina Moon
– Behind-the-scenes after-hours tour of the Cyclorama with Chris Brenneman, curator of the venue
– Meeting with Gary Casteel, the sculptor of the General James Longstreet battlefield monument
– A special visit to Flight 93 National Memorial (25th Anniversary of 9/11)
