Suicide Prevention Month: Candlelight Vigil

Join Muskegon Community College for a Candlelight Vigil as we conclude Suicide Prevention Month with an evening of remembrance, hope, and community.

Together, we will honor the lives of those lost to suicide, support survivors, and offer encouragement to anyone who may be struggling. The vigil will be facilitated by Scott Teichmer, a suicide prevention specialist with more than 15 years of experience, who will guide participants through this meaningful time of reflection and hope.

This event serves as a reminder that no one is alone and that healing begins when we come together with compassion, understanding, and support. Light refreshments will be served following the program.

Date: Wednesday, September 30
Time: 5:30–7:30 p.m.
Location: Student Lounge, Art & Music Building

The vigil is open to students, faculty, staff, and members of the community. We invite all who wish to remember, reflect, support one another, and stand together in hope to attend.
