The MCC Debt Forgiveness program is for students looking to return to MCC to complete their degree who have a previous debt from a past semester at MCC. Students who meet the eligibility criteria can apply below.
If you’re unsure about eligibility, please complete the form anyway.
Eligible students must:
- not have been enrolled at MCC for two or more academic years;
- have financial holds of no more than $2,500 with MCC;
- possess and, if accepted, maintain a 2.0 GPA;
- commit to ongoing support services designed to help them achieve their academic goals;
- have a completed FAFSA on file; and
- have the means to pay current charges.
The MCC Care Team will contact the applicant within 7-10 business days to schedule an appointment to review eligibility. If approved, students must sign an agreement to reenroll and maintain a 2.0 GPA. Students must have a completed FAFSA on file and a means to pay current charges. They will be required to communicate regularly with MCC staff throughout the entire duration of the program. Past due balances are reduced incrementally over a specific number of semesters determined upon review with the Care Team.
The application submission does not guarantee acceptance into the MCC Debt Forgiveness Program.
To apply for the MCC Debt Forgiveness Program, students must complete and submit the online application.
