Holocaust Art on Display At MCC Presentation
Muskegon Community College (MCC) invites the public to a moving evening of art, history, and reflection on Tuesday, November 11, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at MCC’s Sturrus Technology Center, Room 122 (388 W Clay Ave, Muskegon, MI 49440).
Presented in collaboration with the Zekelman Holocaust Center and the Anderson Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies, “Art of Power,” will feature artwork created by victims and survivors of the Holocaust. Speakers from the Center will guide attendees through the work and examine the message and meaning for today’s world.

Through these pieces—many created in secret, often under unimaginable conditions—audiences will gain a new perspective on the resilience of the human spirit and the enduring need for expression, even in the face of persecution and despair.
“These works of art are not just remnants of the past—they are voices that still speak to us today,” said Sarah Woycehoski, of MCC’s Anderson Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies. “We preserve these stories through art because they remind us of our shared humanity and our responsibility to never forget.”
Admission is free and open to the public.
