MCC Foundation to host estate planning event
Monday, November 2, 2026
The Foundation for Muskegon Community College in partnership with Legacy: Your Roadmap to Estate Planning will present a free informational session on Monday, November 16, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 7 PM at The Brewer’s Lounge at Pigeon Hill in Muskegon. The event is designed to help community members understand the basics of estate planning and the steps they can take to protect their loved ones and plan for the future.
The session, titled “Estate Planning Made Easy: What Will Your Legacy Be?” will feature Kevin Huss of Lumbertown Law, who will lead a presentation followed by a question-and-answer session.

“Estate planning is an important step in making sure your wishes are honored and the people and causes you care about are supported,” said Chief Advancement Officer Sue Samaniego. “It also provides an opportunity to think about the legacy you want to leave behind. Having a plan in place can give families greater peace of mind and help ensure that a person’s values and intentions continue to make a difference.”
Topics will include the essential components of an estate plan, whether establishing a trust may be appropriate, selecting trusted individuals to act on one’s behalf and planning for a legacy after death.
The session is open to individuals who are beginning to explore estate planning as well as those who want to review their existing plans.
