Muskegon Community College (MCC) and Cornerstone University will formally sign a new articulation agreement on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 3 p.m. at Muskegon Community College, creating expanded transfer opportunities for students pursuing bachelor’s degrees.

The agreement establishes a clearly defined pathway for students to continue their education after earning eligible associate degrees at MCC. Articulation agreements help ensure that qualifying credits transfer efficiently between institutions, allowing students to maximize transferable credits, shorten the time needed to earn a bachelor’s degree, and reduce the overall cost of completing their education.

The partnership will provide seamless transfer opportunities for students in many of MCC’s most popular academic programs, including Business, Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Education, Education, Health Sciences, Information Technology, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, and other transfer-focused associate degree programs.

The partnership also introduces MCC students to Cornerstone University’s innovative SOAR program, a subscription-style tuition model with self-paced learning that allows students to progress through coursework as quickly as they are able. Rather than paying by the credit hour, students pay one flat tuition rate for a four-month term and can complete multiple courses during that period entirely on their smartphone.
