Foundation for Muskegon Community College
MCC’s fundraising efforts are managed by the Foundation for Muskegon Community College, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization with the sole purpose to support the mission of MCC through fund development. Our Federal ID number is 38-2363598. The Foundation for MCC supports the College through a variety of activities, including:
- Management of the annual fund campaign to support the ongoing operations and programs of MCC
- Raising monies for scholarship funds and the FMCC Endowment Fund
- Reach for the Stars campaign, which is raising funds to transform the Carr-Fles Planetarium into a state-of-the-art education and entertainment destination
- Annual golf outing This year on June 8.
- Founder's Day roaring-twenties style event Sept. Third Thursday in September; This year on Sept. 20.
- Management of the anual fund campaign to support the ongoing operations and programs of MCC
The Foundation for Muskegon Community College enjoyed a record-breaking year in 2010-2011, raising over $150,000 — a 278% increase over the previous 12 months and a significant jump above our 10-year annual average of $34,544. These generous gifts allow us to increase access to education, improve programs, and help students of all ages reach for the stars.
