WHY THEATER?

At Muskegon Community College we have been teaching the art of theater for over 85 years. We are proud of our program and our students’ achievements. MCC students receive a beginning foundation in acting and technical theater through our courses and our productions. We offer a variety of classes to develop your knowledge of theater. Plus we have a full season of plays that give you many opportunities to develop your skills both onstage and behind the stage. Former students of our program have gone on to work in professional theaters, theater education, design fields, television & radio, modeling, and many other career areas. They often credit our program for making them feel a part of a community, supporting their dreams, and giving them great opportunities for learning and growing.
