Art in 8 Competition on Oct. 10

Eight Muskegon area artists will have eight hours to create a new original work of art based on this year’s ahfest theme of theme “Myth and Reality” during the Art in 8 competition on Saturday, Oct. 10.

Free and open to the public, the event takes place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Muskegon Farmer’s Market indoor facility at 242 West Western Avenue.  A separate high school competition will be held from 1-5 p.m.

The winning work and artist are selected by popular vote and announced at the public reception at the end of the day. The reception begins at 4:30 p.m. and continues until 6 p.m. The Cheese Lady will be supplying the food for the reception.
