An elated Muskegon Community College board chairman said improvements voters approved Tuesday likely will begin with a new science center. Speaking to supporters after declaring that the $23.7 million bond proposal had passed Nov. 5, Dr. Donald Crandall said improvements will come in phases. The first most likely will be the science center because the college already has architectural plans for it, he said. The bond proposal will result in improvements to science facilities, the gymnasium and health building, arts facilities and most likely applied technologies — also known as industrial training — programs.
