2019 ahFest Film Fest: “The Intouchables”

On Wednesday evenings throughout October, the 2019 Muskegon Writers’ Series will show and discuss five films associated with “Hope,” the 2019 Muskegon Arts and Humanities Festival (ahFest) theme this year.

All the films will be shown at the Muskegon Museum of Art, 296 W Webster Ave. in downtown Muskegon. Admission is free. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and each film will promptly begin at 6 p.m. with a brief introduction by MCC English and Film instructor Mary Tyler. An optional discussion led by Tyler will follow each film.

The 2019 dates and featured films are:

October 2 – The Intouchables a 2011 French buddy comedy-drama film, became the second biggest box office hit in France months after its release. The plot centers on an aristocrat, who becomes a quadriplegic from a paragliding accident, and the young man he hires from the projects to be his caregiver.
