Library Information

The Hendrik Meijer Library offers many services to MCC students, faculty and staff, as well as to community visitors.
Reference librarians are available when the facility is open to assist with finding information, conducting research, accessing electronic resources, and providing library orientations and tours. They are available weekdays from 7:30am until closing.
The Library offers quiet reading areas, study rooms, information literacy assistance, wireless Internet access and computers with access to our databases.
Generous views of the nature area, creek and surrounding area allow a tranquil study experience throughout the facility.
Hours follow the academic schedule with Fall and Winter semesters having the longest open hours.  Library hours are shortened during midwinter break, during Spring and Summer sessions and between semesters.
The MCC Library has grown over the years from sharing a book collection in the Hackley Public Library basement to its current site. On January 9, 2006, the Library completed an expansion to include electronic resources and computer labs. The name was changed at that time from the Allen G. Umbreit Library to the Hendrik Meijer Library.
