Anthropology Day Lecture: “Using Anthropology to Understand the Pandemic”

The Third Annual Anthropology Day celebration at Muskegon Community College features faculty member Evin Rodkey, Ph.D., talking about “Using Anthropology to Understand COVID-19 and the Pandemic” on Thursday, Feb. 18.

Organized by the American Anthropological Association (AAA), Anthropology Day brings awareness to the broad study of culture and human history.

Rodkey, who teaches anthropology at MCC, will discuss how concepts and ideas from the field of anthropology can help explain COVID-19 and the pandemic with regard to our social institutions and culture.  He will also talk about the exciting field of anthropology and the offerings at MCC.
