11/1/2022 - 12/9/2022

Muskegon, MI: West Michigan artists are using their artwork to explore social issues in Muskegon Community College’s (MCC) upcoming art exhibition. Opening October 31, “Bodies of Work,” features figure paintings that communicate social issues such as women’s body issues, gender norms, war, and physical abuse.

A public reception will be held on November 2, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Overbrook Gallery lobby. Light refreshments will be served, and artists will be discussing their artwork.

The artists being featured include Bux Dhyne, Laurel Dugan, Patrick Holmes, Anna Schierbeek, and Samantha Vanranden.
