Memorializing Our Vietnam Veterans through Art

The USS LST 393 Veterans’ Museum and the Center for Experiential learning present this seminar that focuses on the memorializing process in Muskegon recognizing our Vietnam Veterans. Featured monuments will include: the “Final Approach” Vietnam War Memorial in Hidden Cove Park and the new “Vietnam Benches” at Memorial Park along Muskegon’s Causeway. The featured speaker, Art Historian Tim Norris, will provide an interpretative pictorial of Muskegon area monuments, culminating with an explanatory discussion of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC. The seminar will be held on Monday, April 18, from 6-8 p.m. in Stevenson Center Room 1100.
