The Muskegon Community College Nursing Program has been granted full continuing accreditation through 2019 by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, Inc. (NLNAC). “The NLNAC is the only national accrediting body for Associate Degree Nursing programs,” said Pam Brown, director of MCC’s Nursing Program. “Muskegon Community College Nursing Program is among only 13 of the 28 nationally accredited Associate Degree Nursing Programs in Michigan.”

The College Singers from Muskegon Community College, along with the Shema Choir from Muskegon’s First Congregational Church, will perform “A Springtime of Music” on Sunday, April 22, at 7 p.m. in Overbrook Theater. The concert is free and open to the public.

Muskegon Community College’s Overbrook Theater presents the annual Studio On Stage on April 18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m. in the Overbrook Theater. Studio On Stage is the annual showcase of combined theater and dance students’ classroom creations or ‘works in progress.

More than 230 graduates will participate in Muskegon Community College’s 84th Commencement exercises on Saturday, April 21, at 7 p.m. in the Frauenthal Center. Admission is limited to advance ticketholders.

The events, which are part of the 2012 Muskegon Area Earth Week, are free and open to the public and intended to promote environmentally friendly ideas, initiatives, and projects throughout the community

Hailed as William Shakespeare meets Monty Python, “The Compleat Wrks of Wllm Shkapr (abridged)” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, April 4-5, in MCC’s Overbrook Theater. The shows are free and open to the public. All 37 famous and beloved Shakespeare classics will be presented in a hilarious, fast-paced summary of his literary works.
