The Jayhawk Women’s soccer team claimed a very deserved and important 2-1 win over the Jackson College Jets on the road.
Lydia Sowles (Mona Shores) scored the first goal of the game from a slotted ground cross from Lainey Canan (Zeeland East). Canan connected on the winning goal with 13 minutes left in the match. MCC got outstanding play from keeper Grace Caywood (Zeeland West) for making crucial saves, Julie Hernandez (Fremont) and Taeah Rensberger (Reeths-Puffer) for their dynamic gameplay on the field.
MCC continues their road trip on Sunday, 10/1 when the travel to Kirtland, OH to face Lakeland Community College at 1:00 pm.
