Longtime Muskegon Community College faculty member Char Parker has been selected as the 2014 recipient of the Outstanding Educator Award from the Michigan Occupational Deans Administrative Council. She was recognized at the Trends in Occupational Studies Conference on Oct. 16 at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in Acme, MI.

The MCC College Singers, Collegiates, and College Strings will present “A Celebration of American Composers” on Sunday, Oct. 26, at 3 p.m. in Overbrook Theater. The concert is free and open to the public.

Arthur Miller’s classic American tragedy, Death of a Salesman., comes to Muskegon Community College’s Overbrook Theater on Oct. 15-19. Shows begin at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday through Saturday and conclude with a 3 p.m. matinee on Sunday. MCC English Instructor Mary Tyler will offer commentary on the play’s themes in Overbrook Art Gallery prior to the Thursday and Sunday shows.
