Comedian Detroit Red to Perform at MCC’s Overbrook Theater

Comedian Detroit Red

Comedian Detroit Red

Comedian Detroit Red and three of his Motor City friends are headed to Muskegon Community College’s Overbrook Theater for two performances on Saturday, September 24, at 3:30 and 7:30 p.m.

A national touring funnyman and headliner, Comedian Detroit Red uses his sharp tongue and quick-witted life observations to get audiences laughing in tears. He has produced and operated comedy rooms across eastern Michigan and appears on “The No BS Newshour With Charlie LeDuff.”

Joining Detroit Red on stage will be comedians Melanie Hearn, T Barb, and Marv Ross.

A high-energy Detroit native, Melanie Hearn crafts her comedy based on real life experiences. Not afraid to take risks, Hearn’s style is staying true to herself and saying what people might not like.

T Barb, another Detroit comedian, is on the fast track to fame. An author and a businesswoman, she delivers a true-to-life, side-splitting style of comedy relatable to every age group.

Opening for many big-name national acts, Marv Ross has entertained crowds across the country for the past 15 years with his unique outlook on life. He also hosted the Punch Line comedy club in Southfield, MI.

This program is recommended for mature audiences ages 18 and older. Tickets are available at www.tinyurl.com/JayhawkComedy and cost $5 for MCC students and $10 for community members. All proceeds will be donated to the MCC Jayhawk Pantry, an on-campus food pantry for students. For more information, contact George Maniates at george.maniates@muskegoncc.edu.
