CoreLogic provides the financial and real estate sectors with data, like insurance payouts from natural hazards.The company measured flood, wildfire, tornado, storm surge, earthquake, wind, hail and sinkhole hazards. Florida has the highest risk, and Michigan the lowest risk.
“The first thing that goes through my head is the West Coast, because of earthquakes and explosive volcanoes like Mount St. Helens,” says Muskegon Community College geology instructor Amber Kumpf.
