Review our helpful checklist to ensure you complete all the steps necessary to becoming an MCC student and pursuing one of our more than 80 degrees and certificates!

Apply to MCC Online

 Apply online today! If you attended Muskegon Community College in the past, but it has been more than three years have since your last class, you will need to Apply for Readmission.

 ►Submit a final high school or GED transcript to MCC

MCC can only accept official transcripts, which can be sent to us through the online Docufide system, or mailed directly from your high school. Please send official transcripts to: Enrollment Services, Muskegon Community College, 221 S. Quarterline Rd. Muskegon, MI 49442.

 ►Transfer your credits

If you have attended other colleges, request an official transcript be sent from your previous college’s Records Department to the address above, Attention: Transfer Evaluation.

 ►Apply for financial aid

Apply for financial aid by submitting a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Worksheets to assist you are available at the Student Welcome Center.

 ►Take the COMPASS Placement Test

Call Testing Services at (231)777-0394 to schedule a time. Placement assessments are in Reading, Writing, and Math. You may be exempt from portions of the COMPASS test if you meet one of the following:

 ACT Reading: 19+

MME Reading: 1 or 2

ACT Writing:   19+

MME Writing: 1 or 2

ACT Math:   20+ 

Transfer Students: 15 or more college credits with minimum 2.0 GPA

Official ACT/MME scores or college transcripts must be on file to waive COMPASS testing.

Prospective Nursing Students cannot use MME scores or college credits to waive the reading test

 ►Attend New Student Orientation

To register for your orientation session, please visit Enrollment Services in Room 108, or call (231) 777-0454.

 ►Meet with a MCC Academic Counselor

MCC counselors specialize in specific areas of study to better help students determine which classes are necessary for the degree or program they are pursuing. Make an appointment with an academic counselor in Room 101, or call (231) 777-0362.

 ►Check your Username and Password

Check your Username or Reset your Password to access WebAdvisor.

 ►Register for Classes Online

Log into WebAdvisor using your new username and password. If you need help registering for classes, the staff at the Student Welcome Center will assist you.

 ►Get a MCC One Student ID Card

Bring your class schedule and picture ID to the Information Commons (second floor of the Library) to have your MCC Student ID photo taken.
