“Collecting Art: Works from the Collections of MCC Art Faculty” will be on exhibit from Nov. 12 to Dec. 13 in Muskegon Community College’s Overbrook Art Gallery.

“MCC’s art instructors are not only passionate about teaching art and making their own art, but collecting the art of other artists as well,” explained MCC Instructor Tim Norris.

The exhibit highlights selected pieces amassed over a 30-year span from the personal collections of MCC art instructors Keith Downie, LeeAnn Frame, Erin Hoffman, Corene Kufta, Patricia Opel and Tim Norris.

Included is the work of significant contemporary Michigan artists Jay Constantine, Patricia Hendricks Constantine, Thomas Depree and David Huang, as well as internationally recognized artists Robert Lostutter, Constantin Chmutin, Juha Tammenpää, Alison Saar, Clint Griffin, Raymond Gloecker, and Clare Leighton.  Other nationally exhibited artists featured are Katja Oxman, David Becker, Jane Goldman, Louis Uribe, Gordon Dorn, and Jay Ryan.
