MCC Forum in Whitehall on April 2

Muskegon Community College will be holding informational forums in the upcoming weeks to gather input from area residents about the college’s services and programs. MCC administrators and faculty will gather input on the College’s Campus Master Plan, which calls for new facilities for science, health, and the arts.

MCC will bew at the Montague-Whitehall Rotary at noon on Tuesday, on April 2.  The schedule and location details are online at muskegoncc.edu/forums. Faculty and administration held the first forums in Ravenna in late February, in Holton on March 13, and in Fruitport March 20-21.

“The campus master plan was developed with much community involvement and research,” explained Teresa Sturrus, Vice President for Academic Affairs. “These forums provide an additional opportunity for educators, future students, and business leaders to provide input on how well the plan will meet community and student needs.”

In addition to reviewing the plans for new facilities, MCC representatives will have information about new programs and services. “We want to learn what programs, services, and facilities will best serve our students and help build stronger communities,” explained Sturrus. “These forums are perfect opportunities for individuals to share their thoughts and concerns regarding their local community college.”
