MCC Holiday Pops Concert Set for Downtown on Dec. 8

There’s a forecast for flurries, family favorites and joyful song on Sunday afternoon, December. 8, when the Muskegon Community College performance ensembles join together in downtown Muskegon for a fun-filled Holiday Pops concert.

The festive music, which includes music from John Williams’ "Home Alone" plus a Christmas sing-a-long and much more, begins at 3 p.m. inside Central United Methodist Church, 1011 Second St. The concert is free and open to the public.

The concert features the MCC Wind Ensemble with members of the symphony orchestra conducted by Daniel M. Meyers, the MCC Jazz Ensemble directed by Tim Froncek, and the Collegiates Choir directed by Thomas Clark accompanied by Dr. Solee Lee-Clark and MCC faculty guest performer, soprano Elizabeth Adkins.
