New Show at Carr-Fles Planetarium

The Carr-Fles Planetarium opens the new year with “Stars: The Powerhouses of the Universe.” The spectacular show, narrated by actor Mark Hamill of Star Wars fame, will be shown Jan. 8-Feb. 21 and again from March 5-April 11. Presentations are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7 p.m.

The 35-minute show takes the planetarium visitors on a journey to the furthest reaches of our galaxy to experience both the beauty and destructive power of stars. From their birth in vast clouds of gas to their spectacular luminous deaths, stars release the energy that powers the universe. The program will be followed by a brief tour of the current night sky, using the planetarium.

Admission is free to the all-new planetarium, which features state-of-the-art digital equipment and a memorable experience for visitors of all ages.
