Wind and Jazz Ensembles Perform

The Muskegon Community College Wind and Jazz Ensembles will perform on Wednesday, April 10, at 7 p.m. in the Overbrook Theater. The concert is free and open to the public.

The Wind Ensemble, led by Daniel M. Meyers, the MCC director of music, will perform four selections: “Rolling Thunder” by Henry Fillmore, “Perthshire Majesty” by Samuel R. Hazo, “An American Elegy” by Frank Ticheli, and “Lion King Soundtrack Highlights” by Calvin Custer.

Following a brief intermission, the MCC Jazz Ensemble, directed by MCC adjunct instructor Tim Froncek, will present four numbers: “Cantaloupe Island” by Reinhard Summerer. “A Night in Tunisia” by Sammy Nestico, “Harlem Nocturne” by Earl Hagen, and “Moon Dance” by Roy Phillippe.
