“Dynamic Earth,” a 40-minute cutting-edge production exploring the inner workings of Earth’s atmosphere, oceans, and the biosphere, opens Jan. 13 at Carr-Fles Planetarium on the MCC campus.

Based on satellite monitoring data and advanced supercomputer simulations, “Dynamic Earth” takes its audience on a ride along swirling ocean and wind currents. Viewers dive into the heart of a monster hurricane, come face-to-face with sharks and gigantic whales, and fly into roiling volcanoes.

Free and open to the public, the program begins at 7 p.m. and will be followed by a brief tour of the current night sky, using the planetarium. Shows are presented on Tuesdays and Thursdays from Jan. 13-Feb. 26 and from March 10-April 2.
