MCC Student Art and Design Awards and Reception

The 51st Annual MCC Student Art and Design Exhibition Awards will be announced on Tuesday, June 9, at 5:30 p.m. in Overbrook Theater. A reception takes place frm 5-6:30 p.m. in the Overbrook lobby. Light refreshments will be served. Admission is free.
The awards inlcude $400 for first place, $300 for second place, $200 for third place, and $100 for honorable mentions. In addition, the President’s Purchase Awards for the permanent MCC Art Collection will be announced. Place awards are selected by an independent juror who is a practicing art professional. This year, Ken Foster, a retired MCC art faculty member, will judge the entries.
The winners are chosen from the 51st Annual MCC Student Art and Design Exhibit in Ovebrook Gallery. The exceptional artwork wascreated by MCC’s art and graphic design students over the past academic year. MCC art and design faculty reviewed several thousand pieces produced by more than 500 students and selected only a small portion of this total amount for the annual exhibit.
