The Jayhawk Track & Field Teams competed at Aquinas College in the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame Classic.

Kyler Dean (Vicksburg) continued to shine as he finished 1st in the 1000m run, breaking his school record in the 1000m and hitting the national auto qualifying mark. He used the final 400m to pull away from the field. The night ended with a bang as the 4×400 relay team of Isaac Easter (West Ottawa), Karlito McKinney (Big Rapids), Allen Payne (West Ottawa) and Bryce Turner (Stow-Munroe) smashed the school record and currently sit #19 in the nation for the men’s 4×400. For the Women ‘s team Maya Reeve (White Cloud) hit a big pr and broke the school record in the women’s weight throw. Kierra Flegel (Kent City) ran a great come back race in the women’s 1000m to take the win and missed the national auto mark by only a few seconds. The Jayhawks will be back in action both Friday 2/9 at the GVSU Big Meet and at Tiffin University in Ohio on Saturday, 2/10.
