The Jayhawk Men’s Basketball team lost to the JV team from Cornerstone University, 100-71.

MCC played on back to back nights for the first time this season and they faced a hot Golden Eagle offense. Cornerstone shot 54% in the first half and their defense forced some Jayhawk turnovers which gave them a 56-40 lead heading into the locker room at half time. Reserve guard Isaac DeHart (Whitehall) did his best to keep MCC in the game with 10 of his team high 21 points off the bench. In the second half sophomore Jadakiss Lewis (Kalamazoo Central) tried to get MCC back into the game but the balanced attack from Cornerstone was too much to overcome. Lewis finished with 20 points and Ben Clark (Potter’s House) had a double double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists.

MCC is now 3-5 on the season. They return to action with a home game on Tuesday, 12/12 when they face the Alma College JV team with tip off at 7:00 pm.
